01 Who we are
ORIENTTECH PRO INC is an independent insurance agency. We are not owned by, or tied to, any single insurance carrier — we compare options across multiple insurers so we can offer guidance in your interest.
References to “we”, “us” and “our” in this policy mean ORIENTTECH PRO INC. References to “you” mean anyone who visits our website, contacts us, or requests a quote.
This policy applies to our website, our online quote and contact forms, and any communications you have with our team through those channels. It does not apply to the practices of insurance carriers or other third parties, which are governed by their own privacy notices.
02 Information we collect
We only collect information that is relevant to answering your enquiry, preparing a quote, or providing guidance. Depending on how you interact with us, this may include:
Information you give us
- Contact details — such as your name, email address, phone number and ZIP code.
- Quote details — the type of coverage you are interested in and the basic facts we need to explore options (for example, driver and vehicle details for auto, or property details for home and renters).
- Business information — for business insurance enquiries, details such as what your business does, its location, and revenue and payroll ranges.
- Messages — anything you choose to write to us in a contact form or by email.
Please don’t send sensitive information through our website forms. This includes Social Security numbers, driver’s licence numbers, payment card details, or medical information. If we need any of these to progress a quote, we will tell you how to provide them securely.
Information collected automatically
- Device and browser data — such as browser type, screen size, operating system and language.
- Usage data — pages viewed, links clicked, time on page and referring URLs.
- Approximate location — derived from your IP address, used for analytics and to improve relevance.
Information from third parties
If you reach us through a partner, referral or social media platform, we may receive limited contact details from that platform. We do not buy personal data lists.
03 How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your enquiry and provide the guidance you asked for.
- Prepare and compare insurance quotes across available carriers.
- Communicate with you about your enquiry, quote or policy — by email, phone or post.
- Improve our website, forms and the clarity of our content.
- Maintain records required by insurance regulations and our licensing obligations.
- Detect and prevent fraud, misuse or unauthorised access.
- Comply with legal, regulatory and tax obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your information to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects without human involvement.
04 Legal bases for processing
Depending on where you live, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases to process your information:
| Legal basis | What it means in practice |
|---|---|
| Contract | Processing needed to respond to your quote request or provide services you have asked for. |
| Legitimate interests | Running and improving our agency, preventing fraud, and communicating with you about your enquiry — balanced against your rights. |
| Consent | Where we ask for your permission, such as for optional marketing emails or non-essential cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time. |
| Legal obligation | Keeping records, responding to regulators, and meeting insurance licensing and anti-fraud requirements. |
07 How long we keep data
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. As a guide:
- Enquiries that do not become policies — typically up to 24 months, then deleted or anonymised.
- Quote and policy records — retained for as long as required by insurance regulation and our record-keeping obligations, which can vary by state.
- Website analytics — typically retained in aggregate for up to 26 months.
When information is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymise it.
08 How we protect data
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and limiting access to staff and providers who need it for their role.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. While we work hard to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by applicable law.
09 Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights. We honour these rights without discrimination.
| Right | What you can ask for |
|---|---|
| Access | Confirmation of whether we hold your personal information, and a copy of it. |
| Correction | Correction of inaccurate or incomplete information. |
| Deletion | Deletion of your information, subject to legal and regulatory retention requirements. |
| Opt-out of sale/sharing | We do not sell personal information. If this ever changes, you will be able to opt out. |
| Limit use of sensitive data | You can ask us to limit the use of sensitive personal information where applicable law provides this right. |
| Withdraw consent | Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent, such as marketing emails. |
| Non-discrimination | We will not deny you service or charge different prices for exercising your privacy rights. |
To exercise any right, contact us using the details in section 13. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

10 Children’s privacy
Our website and services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 where local law requires). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
11 Third-party links
Our website may link to third-party sites, such as carrier portals or resources we think are useful. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. We encourage you to read their privacy policies before providing any personal information.
12 Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology or legal requirements. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to let you know — for example, by posting a notice on this page or contacting you directly where appropriate.
